A Couple Of Simple Diabetes Recipes
If you’ve been diagnosed with diabetes, the best thing you can do for yourself and your well being is t follow a healthy and nutritious diet. There are any number of cookbooks, recipes and magazines available to help you find a healthy way of eating. However, event if you haven’t been diagnosed with diabetes, the diet is good for you too.
This diet is healthy and good for the whole family, so you might want to consider following this nutritional path with your whole family.
Here are 2 real easy to prepare diabetes recipes
1) Black and white bean salad very easy and obviously healthy and nutritious
Ingredients:
2 cups finely chopped onions
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
¼ cup chopped red pepper
2 tbsp. minced parsley
2 cloves minced garlic
Equal Spoonful, ¼ tsp. salt, ¼ tsp. freshly ground pepper
1 can of northern beans rinsed
1 can of black beans rinsed
Red pepper rings
Sauté the onions in oil till tender and have them cool down.
Stir vinegar, red pepper, parsley, garlic, salt, pepper and onions into a salad bowl, mix well and add the beans to it. Then garnish with the red pepper rings.
2) Rice Salad
Ingredients:
4 cups hot cooked rice
1 can kidney beans rinsed and drained
1 small onion chopped
¼ cup vegetable oil
2 tbsp. white vinegar
1 tbsp. granulated sugar
1 tbsp. pickle relish
1 ½ tbsp. chili powder
1 medium green pepper chopped
There is so much more to a healthy diet for sufferers of diabetes. I suggest you go an buy a couple of really good cookbooks or alternatively just search the internet. There is plenty available.
What I wanted to show you with this article is that cooking and caring for people with high blood sugar levels is not difficult at all, and the food is actually tasty too.

I’ve had rising blood sugar for a number of years - tried to control it with diet and exercise, lots of natural stuff - such a cinnamon, and other natropathic products.
But I have a genetic disposition to the condition - I’m not overweight, it’s just a family history.
So finally had another test, found the levels were around 16.4 m/mol fasting - and started the tablets last night.
